The diagnosis of mental health conditions and experiences of self-harm among children and young people in the UK following the start of the COVID-19 pandemic has been the focus of a study from researchers at the universities of Manchester, Keele, Exeter and the McPin Foundation.
The research has been funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) School for Primary Care Research and the NIHR Greater Manchester Patient Safety Research Collaboration.
During this free webinar, we will discuss:
- The key findings and their implications
- How we have worked in partnership with young people, parents and stakeholders
- Other recent research into young people’s mental health and support services.
We would like to hear your reflections on the study findings, and how we can help inform and shape recommendations for practice and policy derived from the research.
The event will be chaired by Prof Carolyn Chew-Graham, a General Practitioner in Manchester and Professor of General Practice Research at Keele University.
