This talk will explore the rationale behind the Coral exhibition at Manchester Museum and reflect on the curatorial process. Marion will examine the challenges of organising a cross-disciplinary exhibition; the role of the ‘external’ curator; the benefits and limitations of collaborations between academics and (university) museums; and the role of impact and public engagement in turning research into exhibition practice.
