This is a course on the FBMH Academic Development Programme, welcome to all colleagues within the Faculty.
Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs)
- Identify and summarise the concepts of active learning and student engagement.
- Explain the rationale behind the value of student engagement and active learning in higher education.
- Define the challenges and benefits of active learning approaches for learners and facilitators.
- Apply useful methodologies to diversify teaching approaches for a variety of learners.
- Plan one (or more!) teaching and learning approach that you can implement to enhance student engagement.
- Critically reflect on your experience designing, delivering and evaluating facilitative learning sessions.
