Title: Galois bounds for unlikely intersections in a product of modular curves
Abstract: The Zilber-Pink conjecture predicts that there should be only finitely many complex numbers t such that the three elliptic curves with j-invariants t, t+1, t-1 are all isogenous to each other. I will outline a proof of this case of the conjecture (joint work with Christopher Daw). The primary obstacle is proving Galois bounds for such t. We solve this by studying "p-adic periods" of elliptic curves via the Tate uniformisation.
