Bioinformaticians and clinical researchers are invited to attend this event which aims to foster collaborations in bioinformatics, as part of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Manchester Biomedical Research Centre’s (BRC) Training Event and Seminar Series.
The aim of the event is to bring together bioinformaticians and clinical researchers across Manchester BRC, The University of Manchester and the BRC’s NHS partner Trusts* to:
• Strengthen ties both within and between these two groups
• Foster collaborations that focus on developing clinically relevant and translatable bioinformatics work.
This one-day event will be hosted by Manchester BRC’s Next Generation Phenotyping and Diagnostics Theme in collaboration with Translation Manchester and the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health at The University of Manchester.
The day will be structured into four sessions:
1. The current landscape of bioinformatics in the clinical context and examples of translational research
2. Available resources, such as the UK BioBank and Genomics England
3. The future of collaborations and the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on this work
4. Networking and collaboration opportunity.
Register for this event on Eventbrite. The full agenda will be added to the Eventbrite soon.
