This workshop will explore the academic career pathway and the expectations on The University of Manchester academics. It will also provide ideas and support to help you develop yourself to maximise your chances of securing an academic position.
By the end of the workshop you will have:
• Identified academic pathways and key academic activities
• Gained insider insight and key advice into achieving academic success
• Identified actions and support mechanisms that will help you prioritise and focus on strategic academic activities
This session counts 0.5 days towards your annual target of 10 days professional development each year.
Facilitated by Dr Sarah Ashworth FHEA, Researcher Developer. Sarah holds a coaching and mentoring level 5 award from the Institute of Leadership and Management and has been supporting researcher careers across the UK (and beyond) since 2003.
