Big Saturday: Patterns in nature

11am-4pm. In an incredible article published in 1952, Alan Turing suggested that everything from the spots and stripes on animals to the arrangement of pine cones and flowers could be explained by the interactions between two chemicals. Uncover the mystery behind the patterns found in nature and celebrate the first international Fascination of Plants Day with the help of scientists, hands-on plant research and Museum objects.
