Calling for bakers to take part in a special SALC charity bake off event on Tuesday, 30 September 2014 at the students' union.
We are looking for talented and ambitious bakers from the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures (both staff and students) who would like to take part in this special charity bake off, which aims to raise money for Fareshare, Manchester, a charity who provide vitally needed meals, food parcels and snacks to hundreds of disadvantaged people every day. We are looking for around 30 - 40 cakes and the cakes on the day.
The bake off cakes will be judged by:
Abigail Saffer (@_abisaffer) a keen baker and organiser of previous cake tasting events, classes and workshops
Charlotte Hoosan-Sykes (@The_Lady_Sybil) a keen well known Manchester food and drink blogger
Debbie Halls-Evans (@homeofrealfood) and winner of the Taste
Miranda Kaunang from Fareshare
Gethin Sherrington who runs the Baking Society at The University of Manchester's Students' Union
Prizes will be all food or cake based, and all money raised on the night will be donated to Fareshare.
