Join Girl Gang Manchester and Manchester Museum for an evening of collections, craft and curiosities. Responding to themes and content within the museum's upcoming exhibition Object Lessons, the collective will host an after hours, drop in, social, exploring collecting culture and the beauty and significance of everyday objects and occurrences.
Expect show and tells, making, workshops, interactive installations, poetry, music and musings as we display and discuss our own significant objects and ponder what and why people collect.
There will be a bar, a relaxed atmosphere and a warm welcome! Drop in from 6 till 9 for conversations, observations, creativity, learning and Object Lessons.
Girl Gang Manchester is a collective of female artists, activists, academics and party instigators who run an award winning event series of immersive screenings, workshops, parties, skill sharing sessions and socials. Their aim is to create a community of people of all genders in Manchester promoting creativity, collaboration, confidence and positivity, helping inspire and support women to succeed in life work and society.
