Don’t miss Rip it Up; an evening of experimentation and celebration of the counter-culture at The John Rylands Library.
From 6 to 8pm, experience our Off-Beat exhibition in a unique way, seeing and hearing some of the Library’s best examples of 60s experimental art. You can also drop by our ‘zine workshop where you can make your own ripped-up mini-mag.
To top it all off, at 8pm we’ll have a live performance of music, spoken word and video from experimental artists Devi, who are a testament to the Beat Generation’s lasting legacy.
We will channel the spirit of the Beats and Burroughs for a night where “nothing is true and everything is permitted”.
No need to book, just turn up.
