Overview
This workshop will explore inclusive assessment and feedback and how educators can develop their practice and improve the experience of the student. This Blended session is for the Academic Development Programme (ADP) in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health
Intended learning outcomes
- Critically discuss the role of assessment
- Identify the 7 principles of inclusive and socially-just assessment design that include: validity, reliability, constructive alignment, formative opportunities, feedback and inclusivity/accessibility
- Identify and review a range of assessment strategies and consider creative alternatives
- Critically discuss the role of feedback
- Review how feedback can be delivered and reflect on and analyse their own current feedback practise
- Explore how assessment fits into the broader remit of student experience, evaluation and quality assurance
- Identify actions to implement in your own assessment and feedback practice
