Title: Weil Descent on Modules
Abstract: Given a finite extension of fields L/K (let's say of characteristic 0 and the extension is Galois) there is a "really nice" functor from the category of L-varieties to the category of K-varieties, known as the Weil descent (AKA Weil restriction) functor. Last summer, myself and Professor Marcus Tressl began thinking about extending Weil descent to module categories -- I will share our approach. Work still very much in progress.
