About the event:
The Healing Foundation Cleft and Craniofacial Clinical Research Centre is a multidisciplinary team funded by the Healing Foundation for £2.4m and is a satellite of the MCRN CTU at the University of Liverpool.
Our aim is to develop and co-ordinate a programme of research to reduce the burden of care for children with Clefts of the Lip and/or Palate.
At this meeting we will outline our research and describe our current NIHR funded feasiblity studies into Glue Ear, sleep disordered breathing and methods of reducing dental decay. We will use these studies to provide information on the NIHR viewpoint on feasibility studies, working with a CTU from pre-award to write up, development of Core Outcome Sets, setting up collaborations and applying theoretically based psychological interventions and our method of obtaining patient and public involvement in these studies.
