As the country and regions look ahead and plan for recovery, increasingly the focus is not only on getting the economy moving but on making changes to build back a better society.
What do we need to do differently to drive productivity in our cities and regions, build resilience and adapt to a new normal?
Conversations around productivity and gender equality are often separate conversations but addressing gender inequality in the labour market can support local industrial strategies, help increase productivity and address some of the gendered inequalities starkly revealed during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Join us as we discuss gender differences in the labour market across combined authority areas in England, look at the impact of the pandemic on gender inequalities, examine how regions with devolved powers have responded to economic crisis with a gendered lens and explore ways that we can now work to build a better, fairer and more productive future.
