The Women Breaking Barriers Network is proud to host its 2019 event Empowering Women in the Workplace.
We are delighted to host a series of discussions about women, diversity and inclusion at work and a workshop on making the best use of social media.
Schedule:
1:00pm - Keynote speaker, Sally Penni, founder and chair of Women in the Law UK and vice chair of the Association of Women Barristers. Sally specialises in Criminal and Employment Law and has been part of Kenworthy's Chambers since 2000
1:45pm - Workshop with Joanna Booth, director of Social Media Makes Sense, Joanna is a leading social media expert and young female entrepeneur. During the workshop Joanna will discuss her journey from creating her company five years ago to developing it into the UK's leading social media agency for television. Joanna will be sharing top tips as well as demonstrating how social media can empower women to be heard, prosper and excel.
3:45pm, Panel Discussion on Women, Diversity and Inclusion, with speakers; Annie Brodie–Akers, President of Miscarriages of Justice Society, University of Sheffield, and co-founder of Innovation of Justice.
Rehana Begum, NHS Transformation Consultant- Working at the NHS Transformation Unit, which is an internal consultancy for the NHS. Working on large scale Change managment programmes
across the country and specialising on Organisational Development.
Sara Khan, Liberation and Access Executive of Student's Union.
