We have 2 PhD students presenting on the following subjects:

Halah Aljofi will present on: Title: Periconception exposure to air pollution and birth outcomes: A progress work

Description: A summary of the progress of the doctoral thesis and highlighting its background, objectives, and methods. Furthermore, presenting the feasibility of using the personal air quality tool (Plume lab flows) in the study

Tanawat Rakkamon will present on: Title: Exposure to Organic Solvents and Biological Monitoring of Construction Painters in Thailand: A progress work

Description: Exposure to organic solvents from paints may produce health problems on workers. Overall aims are to assess the level and determinants of exposure to solvents and their urinary metabolites among construction painters in Thailand using mainly water- based paints (WBPs). Achievement for aims and structure in study include completing generic and specific skill training from the University of Manchester, a draft of manuscript for publication, letters of ethical approval from Thailand and University of Manchester, use of facilities from Faculty of Health and Sport Science, Thaksin University of Thailand and collection of airborne and biological samples in rainy season (October 2020 to December 2020). Inclusion, the study is in good progress, Sample has been collected 73% of total proposed subjects and the COVID-19 did not have major impact to the data collection.
