The Brave New World conference series is a leading international forum 27 years in the running. It is dedicated to the discussion of postgraduate research in political theory. Participants will have the chance to meet and talk about their work with eminent academics, including our very own members of the faculty from the University of Manchester, as well as the keynote and guest speakers. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. To do so, you don't need to do anything for now - simply make a note of the event in your diaries!
This year's keynote speakers will be:
• Marit Hammond (Keele University), whose work contains contributions to democratic theory and environmental political theory, with a focus on deliberative democracy, the concept of environmental sustainability, and its governance.
• Carl Knight (University of Glasgow), who works on theories of distributive justice (egalitarianism, prioritarianism, sufficientarianism) and applied topics in distributive justice (global justice, climate change, healthcare, discrimination).
