Join us in the beautiful setting of our Historic Reading Room for a panel discussion on the evolution of independent press in Manchester from the 1960s through to the present day. In connection with the 40th anniversary of the launch of City Life, one of Manchester's best-known titles, we will be exploring a strong history of independent and creative press, both printed and online – a history that very much continues today.
In connection with the British Pop Archive, the discussion will be chaired by Dr Abi Gilmore - Senior Lecturer in the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures and will feature Kya Buller (Aurelia Magazine), Bob Dickinson (New Manchester Review), Joshi Herrmann (The Mill), Natasha Kay-Sportelli (Gulp Magazine) and Andy Spinoza (City Life).
Free entry, no booking required.
