Presented in partnership by Creative Manchester, Digital Futures and the Turing Innovation Catalyst (TIC) Manchester, the CreaTech 2025 series of events is aimed at supporting the development of a network of industry professionals working in CreaTech and related industries, CreaTech being the intersection between Creativity and Technology.
The 2025 events build on an initial series of CreaTech Network Events hosted in 2024, which brought together people in Greater Manchester working in CreaTech, exploring potential opportunities for innovation, and to facilitate partnerships between the university and the wider Greater Manchester Business Community.
AI’s rapid pace of development is drawing the creative sector into previously uncharted territory: how can University of Manchester researchers and Greater Manchester businesses respond to AI – as threat, as enabler, or as an opportunity to reshape the future of the Fashion industry?
At this event we will explore AI and Fashion, how fashion businesses can take advantage of emerging technologies affecting design, materials, production and retail, and create opportunities for innovation and knowledge exchange.
We're excited to announce our speakers for this event, with further experts to be confirmed:
Dr Simeon Gill (Reader in Fashion Technology)
Dr Charlene Gallery (Lecturer in Fashion and Digital Marketing Communications)
Dr Saralara Marquez-Gallardo (Lecturer in Fashion Business and Technology)
The event will feature short talks from expert speakers, an insightful panel discussion, and will bring together researchers, educators, students, policymakers, and businesses from the Fashion and related industries in Greater Manchester to share knowledge and experiences.
