Access to transport is regarded as a major determinant to achieving a good quality of life in older age. This seminar will examine some of the latest work in this area, drawing both on the latest research as well as insights from those responsible for providing transport. The seminar will review evidence about how mobility in the environment can be improved, the range of factors which can influence the transport choices and options available to older people, and different ways of thinking about the role of transport and mobility in people's lives.
