Social Scientists are becoming more and more interested in Holistic therapies as topics of research. Recent studies have found them hugely significant in how they use power of connection and relationships to bring about lasting experiences of well-being.

As part of the 2022 Festival of Social Sciences, researchers at The University of Manchester invite you to explore holistic therapies in social sciences research. Come join us on 29 October 2022 (10.00am to 12.30pm) at The University of Manchester as we discuss how social scientists might approach holistic therapies ... and also try out three different approaches for yourself, first hand.

Dr James Hodgson has teamed up with three local Manchester practitioners: a Reiki expert, a Tarot Reader, and a Tai Chi Master to offer attendees -

30 mins of group Reiki with Sarah Davies 30 mins of Tai chi with the Tai Chi Kung Fu Centre 30 mins of group Tarot reading with Sagittarius Sun Tarot Attendees will get to try out all three different modalities on the day, moving from one teacher to the next over the course of an hour and a half or so. We will also have an informal discussion afterwards to share our experiences.

Places are limited. Tea and Coffee will also be provided. Free therapies to relax and connect with yourself, and with others. What's not to love!
