On 4th February 1966 Jodrell Bank produced the first ever pictures of the surface of the moon, intercepting a signal from the Soviet Luna 9 spacecraft and printing the image on a borrowed fax machine.
Join us to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this momentous development, walk on the moon, find out how best to capture your own photos of the moon, make a lunar landing craft and mark the site of historic moon landings.
