This seminar is part of the Teaching and Learning seminar series. The seminar will take place in the Michael Smith Lecture Theatre on Wednesday 18 June 2014 from 1-2pm.
Ralf Becker (School of Social Sciences - Economics) will talk about flipping tutorials and exercise classes in the context of course units with high quantitative content. His experience is that students and GTAs appreciate the changed setup and students’ overwhelming thought that the flipped format improved their learning. Thomas Nuhse (FLS) will talk about flipping three year 1biochemistry lectures for 500 students, using videos, homework and Nearpod pub quizzes. He will present his evaluation for this year and talk about his projects for next year. Hoping to see many of you there.
