Talk title: Regulation of NFAT signalling in CD4+ T cells
Brief lab biography:
Our research focuses on how TCR signalling regulates T cell biology. My lab has interests in understanding how immunotherapy can alter T cell activation and identify favourable T cell signatures of therapy responders. We have developed cutting-edge TCR signalling research tools, such as the Timer rapidly expressed in lymphocytes (Tempo) mice, to study T cell activation. Recent major findings are i) the discovery of the “TCR.strong” signalling signature, which is a hallmark of effective T cell responses to anti-PD1 immunotherapy; and ii) that anti-Lag3 and anti-PD-1 combination therapy drives distinct NFAT-dependent TCR signalling programmes. Our vision is that through gaining a deeper mechanistic understanding of checkpoint biology, we can use this knowledge to inform precision medicine strategies.
