Kevin Barry is the author of four novels and three short story collections. His awards include the Goldsmiths Prize, the Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award and the Lannan Foundation Literary Award. His previous novel Night Boat to Tangier was longlisted for the Booker Prize. The Heart in Winter was named The Sunday Times Historical Novel of the Year and chosen as a book of the year in numerous publications including The Guardian, The New Statesman, The Irish Times and the TLS.
