Active Communities Network Event, an insightful evening of discussion at the London School of Economics, bringing together leading professionals who have researched, reported on and worked extensively in the youth sector, alongside frontline practitioners making a real impact in addressing youth violence.

At Active Communities Network, along with our partners, we are committed to supporting young people across London. With youth violence on the rise, MyEnds, funded by the London Violence Reduction Unit, has empowered local youth organisations and practitioners to take action where it’s needed most.

This event will feature two engaging panel discussions hosted by Southwark Young Advisors and One Southwark, offering practitioners perspectives on the challenges young people face today. (See attached flyer)

Professor Gary Younge – Professor of Sociology, journalist, and author of Another Day in the Death of America Professor Claire Alexander – Professor of Sociology and author of The Art of Being Black, The Asian Gang, and The Asian Gang Revisited Shinead Philpott – Director of Programmes at Active Communities Network & Lead for Southwark MyEnds Sayce Holmes-Lewis – CEO/Founder of Mentivity, Educator, Youth Worker, and Mentor

We will also hear from renowned youth practitioners, sharing their insights on key issues in the second panel.
