MIDAS and Toronto Global are excited to host this event where the University of Manchester and the University of Toronto will announce the launch of a new Joint Translational Centre for Digital Health which aims to advance digitally-enabled health technologies. Both Greater Manchester and the Toronto Region represent great investment locations for digital health companies to locate and scale up.
The Joint Centre will establish a community of researchers, businesses, and healthcare providers, strengthening the collaboration between academia and business in Canada and the UK to realise the development, implementation, and translation of digital health innovation.
Hear from Manchester and Toronto’s investment promotion agencies (IPAs) and key figures at both universities to learn about:
- The local life science ecosystems and business support services to help companies bridge the geographical divide to establish, expand and grow internationally
- Key specialisms at The University of Manchester and University of Toronto encompassing remote monitoring and virtual care; health policy and implementation; data science and AI
- The Centre’s first funded initiative; a case study of the innovation pipeline to advance digital health and therapeutics, illustrating the ways in which industry can engage with the new Centre
