Individual level census data or ‘census microdata’ are samples of records which are available in an anonymous form for research use. They are flexible census products which are well suited to filling in the gaps between published tables or creating analyses for subpopulations from simple graphs to multivariate models.
In this free hour-long webinar, presented by Jo Wathan from the Census Service, UK Data Service, you will be introduced to census microdata (formerly known as SARs). We will demonstrate these datasets and showcase what data are available and take a look at data that may be available in the future. We will focus on the 2011 data: their characteristics, where researchers can obtain the data and will look at ways the data can be used.
