Join us at MVN 2025 - a celebration of Manchester’s vision and ophthalmic community!
We are pleased to announce that the eighth Manchester Vision Network Research Showcase and Networking Event will take place on Wednesday 16th July 2025 in the Postgraduate Centre Lecture Theatre (The Boulevard, M13 9NQ), on the Education Campus of Manchester Royal Infirmary, located a short walk from the University. This annual event provides a multidisciplinary forum for clinicians, researchers, and technology developers, interested in ophthalmic and vision science.
The event will feature oral presentations, poster presentations and networking opportunities. This year the keynote speaker will be Professor Rachael Pearson of King’s College London (KCL). Professor Pearson leads the Ocular Cell and Gene Therapy Group at KCL, a group undertaking fascinating work on restoration of visual function in retinal degeneration. Professor Pearson will deliver a talk titled “Restoring vision with stem cell-derived photoreceptor replacement therapy” at this year’s event. A second keynote will be delivered by this year’s winner of the Janus Kulikowski Award.
The 2025 Small Award Scheme will be launched during the day.
