Michael Smith Lecture Theatre, 9:30 – 12:00
On behalf of the UMRI are pleased to announce that the inaugural Manchester Genomics Clinical & Research Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meeting will take place on Wednesday 15th January from 9:30 – 12:00 in the Michael Smith Lecture Theatre.
Four clinicians shall each be presenting on two novel or interesting genomic variants that span immunological, cardiovascular, and rare developmental diseases. After each talk, we shall open up discussions from the audience as to how best we can employ our wet lab and computational skills to determine mechanism or causality.
We hope that this will be the first of several such meetings, and create a novel pipeline to investigate the biology underlying serious disease phenotypes discovered across Greater Manchester. Following investment from UMRI, we have funding in the first instance to award to groups with an interest in investigating these (or other) variants in more detail.
Please come along to hear more about the initiative, and meet some new collaborators!
