Fake fish and fake eggs? See and taste what our families had to cook with in times when they 'made do'.
Remember elbow patches, letting down sleeves and hems, darning underwear and getting clothes two sizes too big?
Bring in your holey clothes and let us show you some techniques to 'mend' them. Enjoy afternoon tea with a homefront fee, bring your family to celebrate Mother's day in a way you've never done together before.
Share your family cookbooks so we can see what strange and wonderful ways our families ate during times of hardship. See the Library's collections too.
Explore wartime makeup - lard and beetroot juice - marvellous!
