The 2018 British Society for the History of Science Postgraduate Conference will take place at the Centre for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine (CHSTM) at The University of Manchester. Call for papers
We welcome abstracts from postgraduate students researching any aspect of the history of science. Postgraduates in the philosophy of science, science communication, and science and technology studies should also feel welcome to submit an abstract.
Please submit your abstract by the end of the day on Monday 6 November 2017 by sending a single document including your abstract (max. 250 words), name, institutional affiliation, and contact details to bshspg2018@gmail.com. Presentations should last between 15 and 20 minutes. Places will be limited, and we aim to notify prospective speakers by mid-December.
Please also note that members of the BSHS may apply to the Butler-Eyles Fund for support to travel to this conference. Applications for Butler-Eyles grants should be submitted by Monday 6 November 2017, after which decisions about the awarding of grants will be made and communicated to applicants by the BSHS.
