Join the Smith Quad team for a free craft workshop in the Michael Smith Building Ground Floor Café on Wednesday 18th December at 12pm.
This hands-on session will inspire you to create beautiful, decorative items using foraged and dried materials from the Quad and campus, along with repurposed items such as card, wool, and glass jars. No crafting experience is necessary – just come along and get creative!
During the session, you’ll have the opportunity to make garlands, wreaths, decorated jars and bunting.
Feel free to start your craft in the workshop and finish it at home if you’d like! You’re also welcome to bring along extra materials to share or use in your creations. Suggested items include; dried leaves, flowers, pinecones, or orange slices; jars or bottles to decorate; coloured card; string, wool, or ribbon.
This workshop is a great way to unwind, connect with colleagues, and create sustainable decorations with a personal touch. Whether you’re crafting for yourself or as gifts for others, your creativity will help give new life to natural and repurposed materials.
