From ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and ‘Charlotte’s Web’ to 'Spiderman’, insects have inspired countless much-loved stories and comics. Enter your ideas into our story competition to help us create the next great creepy-crawly chronicle!
Please see http://bit.ly/MMStoryComp for details.
Manchester Museum’s collection of 2.5 million insects is a fantastic resource for inspiring stories for all ages. Perhaps you are considering a tale about termites or a myth about moths? Now is the time to get your creative juices flowing!
Winners in each age category will be chosen by a panel including museum experts and professional writers, and will be featured in a special exhibition publication in summer 2020. Winners will also each receive a special behind-the-scenes tour of our fascinating Entomology stores, an invitation to a dramatic reading of the publication, and a copy of the publication. Runners up in each category will receive a copy of the publication.
