The Hallé Children's Choir was formed in September 2008, and is now celebrating its second season with 87 young singers aged 8-13 years from across Greater Manchester and beyond. Membership is by audition, and is free. The Hallé Children's Choir is generously supported by DLA Piper. The Hallé is extremely grateful to many charitable trusts and individual benefactors for their ongoing support of the Children's Choir, in particular David Wertheim and family, the Kobler Trust, the Kirkby Laing Foundation, the PRS Foundation and the Ryecroft Children's Fund.
The Hallé Youth Choir is a mixed voice SATB choir, founded in 2003, for singers aged 12-19 years in and around Manchester. The Youth Choir offers young people the opportunity to sing stimulating repertoire to a very high standard, and is delighted to rehearse regularly in the Martin Harris Centre. The Hallé Youth Choir is generously sponsored by Piggott & Whitfield Ltd. The Hallé Concerts Society is very grateful to the Musicians Benevolent Fund, the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, the Angus Allnatt Charitable Foundation, the Oglesby Charitable Trust, the Radcliffe Trust and many individual benefactors for their continued support of the Youth Ensembles.
