This training is part of the Doctoral Academy Training Programme which aims to provide postgraduate research students with the necessary skills and knowledge to make the most their doctoral degrees.
This course aims to help you write clear, grammatically accurate and well-organised academic and scientific English. A major focus of the course will be on the language used to express the main communicate functions used at all levels of academic writing in the biological sciences. In addition, some sessions will explore certain common features of the research report.
The course will run every week on Tuesdays during term time at 16:30 - 18:00 in the Postgraudate Hub Training Room in the Stopford Building. Lois Gale from the University Language Centre will deliver each session of this course.
