Inspired by research and real life experiences of Bangladeshi migrants who came to work in the mills and factories in North-West England from the 1960s onwards, 'Telegram' is an original bi-lingual play on Bengali folk music and migration. The life-stories on offer here will resonate with migrants irrespective of background or location and highlight the role played by Bengali folk music in sustaining migrant lives despite displacement and hardship. Come for a poignant commemoration of migrant lives and stirring, soulful folk music.
This event is taking place on a drop-in basis and booking is not required.
