Title: Actions on the Ziegler spectra of domestic string algebras
Abstract: (Joint with Shantanu Sardar)
The Auslander-Reiten quiver along with its “completion”—the Ziegler spectrum—are well-studied (Morita) invariants of finite dimensional algebras. We focus in particular on a class of string algebras called domestic string algebras, and study “paths" in the A-R quiver. Such paths can be obtained by (possibly transfinite) compositions of irreducible morphisms, and their inverses.
After discussion of the background and some major results in the representation theory of domestic string algebras, I will describe the algebraic structure of the set of terms that encode the above mentioned paths, and that acts on the points of the A-R quiver. If time permits I will also describe the connection between the collection of the terms and the Ziegler spectrum.
