Join us for the launch of Aesthetics and the City, an edited collection that explores the vital role of aesthetics in shaping urban experience.
Bringing together contributors from across disciplines and global contexts, this book launch examines how aesthetics relates to how cities and urban
spaces are perceived, organised, and transformed. Through a series of short presentations from the book's contributors, we will celebrate and ponder the wide diversity of aesthetic approaches within urban studies. We collectively make the case that aesthetics is a rich, critical lens through which to examine the enduring relevance of the city in contemporary urban thought. With: Joe Blakey, Amy Barron (Geography UoM),
and book contributors. Co-sponsored by Manchester Urban Institute & The Cities, Politics and Economics Research Group
