Join us in the magnificent Historic Reading Room for the annual lecture of the Manchester Centre for Correspondence Studies (MCCS). Hosted by Dr Douglas Field (Senior Lecturer in Twentieth Century American Literature at the University of Manchester), we welcome guest speaker Prof Hugh Haughton (Department of English and Related Literature at the University of York) presenting 'The Ghost of the Letter: Corresponding Subjects and Objects'. The evening will include a Q&A with Prof Haughton.
The Manchester Centre for Correspondence Studies (MCCS) brings together academics across the University of Manchester and beyond, with the goal of consolidating the work already done and further encouraging interdisciplinary cooperation and discussion.
