The University of Manchester’s New and Emerging Organic Pollutant Analytics (NEOPA) bid is gaining traction and to support this, Manchester Environmental Research Institute (MERI) are hosting a symposium on the 2nd of June from 10:30am to 5:30pm.
NEOPA is a proposed facility that brings together academics and resource from the 3 faculties at University of Manchester to create a clean and managed analytics space for emerging organic pollutants. We believe such a facility is vital for UoM to remain world-leaders in addressing pressing environmental and human health concerns, and the materials challenges, posed by organic pollutants like microplastics, PFAS, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), pharmaceuticals and endocrine disruptors.
The symposium will bring together research strengths in new and emerging organic pollutants across each faculty. There will be talks, posters, lunch, and possibly libations! So please let your colleagues, PDRAs, technicians, and students know.
