Dear Microfluidics Researchers
We are launching the Manchester Microfluidics Network to unite the microfluidics community in UoM. The aim of the network is to bring together researchers from different faculties/departments and provide a platform for uncovering experimental facilities, sharing microfabrication tips and tricks, and inspiring interdisciplinary collaboration.
The launch of the Manchester Microfluidics Network will take place in the Jocelyn Bell Burnell theatre of the Schuster Building (Dept. Physics & Astronomy) from 2-4pm on Wednesday 22ndMay, followed by food/drinks for networking. In the event, academics from across UoM will give brief introductions to their microfluidics research and will include talks on e.g., organ-on-chip technology and high-throughput biomedical devices. If you would like to attend the meeting, please sign up here in advance: https://forms.gle/UjnXS8J1i4kVxCfH6
Microfluidic ‘lab-on-chip’ devices are used in a wide range of scientific disciplines and industrial processes, from agriculture to tissue engineering, fertility treatment to food safety, colloid manufacture to cancer research. This is our opportunity to bridge those disciplines and join forces for future microfluidics!
Kind regards,
Finn Box, Raveen Tank & Valeria Ciccone
