Teaching is a challenging yet rewarding career which allows you to inspire future generations. Very few careers can match teaching for opportunities to make a real difference to the life chances of children and young people. And that’s on top of the attractive bursaries and scholarships available whilst training, good starting salaries and opportunities for early career progression.
If you’re considering about a career in teaching and would like to find out more, we are holding an open evening on Tuesday 14 March 2017, 6pm to 8pm. Come along to find out about our PGCEs (Postgraduate Certificates of Education) - ten month courses that enable graduates to train to teach and gain Qualified Teacher Status.
You will be able to speak to course tutors for our primary PGCEs and subject specialists for our secondary PGCEs, including:
• Business education
• Economics with business education
• English
• Geography
• History
• Mathematics
• Science (chemistry, biology, physics and physics with mathematics)
• Modern languages (French, German and Spanish)
Our admissions staff will be on hand to answer questions on course entry requirements, professional skills tests and subject enhancement courses, as well as information on bursaries and scholarships. University of Manchester graduates may also be eligible for an additional £1000 Alumni bursary.
