Please join the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence for a seminar with Dr. Nieves Perez-Solorzano Borragan (University of Bristol) entitled 'Brexit: Path dependency, unintended consequences and the Article 50 Process'.
Currently, Dr. Perez-Soloranzo Borragan is working on the Brexit negotiations and institutional change in the EU. Previously, Dr Perez- Soloranzo Borragan has worked on the involvement of civil society and interest groups in EU governance in the context of wider debates on participatory and deliberative democracy. Nieves has written extensively on the impact of EU membership on civil society in the new member states from Central and Eastern Europe through the lens of Europeanization. She has worked on the impact of EU enlargement on the institutionalisation of civil society participation in the EU with a focus on the European Economic and Social Committee and the Social Dialogue and the European Union's new civil dialogue.
