Rick Parker, chairman of Bolton Conservation Volunteers is back at the Museum to enlighten us about amphibians, their needs and requirements and how you can develop an attractive pondlife environment for these animals. Rick will show three native newts and their eggs ,including the rare and elusive Great Crested Newt. Although protected under U.K. and European legislation Great Crested Newt numbers continue to plummet. Find out how Urban Naturalists can help to save this protected species and get some practical experience on identifying these animals and different species.
