Join us for a powerful evening of conversation & testimony as we bring together people from across Nottingham to discuss how we effectively organise to build positive change in the black community. All welcome.
At a time when the City Council is making painful cuts that harm our communities the police force is in special measures and the health trust is under review, coming together has never felt more needed.
This event offers a unique platform for people from minoritised backgrounds to share their stories and perspectives, allowing for deep conversations surrounding racism, resistance and social justice.
Curated by journalist and author Gary Younge; chaired by activist Dr Panya Banjoko, in collaboration with University of Manchester CODE (Centre on Dynamics of Ethnicity) and supported by Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Resolve Notts.
The event will feature an inspiring panel of speakers, each bringing their unique insights and lived experiences to the conversation. Together, we will explore Nottingham’s journey, its intersection with race, and the power of community storytelling.
