Come along and share with us what makes you happy. Join us to decorate the Museum’s Discovery Centre with Happy Clouds. Get hands on and create Happy Clouds as part of our growing installation and make your own Happy Clouds to take away.
This activity is inspired by Happy Cloud a public artwork by acclaimed British artist Stuart Semple in which he floods the skyline with thousands of smiley faced clouds made from soap helium and vegetable dye. This installation will be on display in University Place, opposite the Museum from 12-1.30pm
Now more pertinent than ever this work questions our ideas of happiness. It was originally presented outside the Tate Modern at the height of the UK recession. It has also been presented in Lilan, Dublin and Moscow. Stuart Semple is an Ambassador for the mental health, Mind.
