This event is co-hosted by the Sexuality summer School and CIDRAL.
Scott Herring (James H. Rudy Professor of English, Indiana University), will lead a seminar entitled 'The Hoarders: Material Deviance in Modern American Culture'.
This seminar will focus on the theoretical, methodological, and historical apparatus of Scott Herring’s most recent book The Hoarders (University of Chicago Press, 2014). Bringing mad studies, material culture studies, and queer studies into intimate dialogue with each other, he will lead an extended conversation about the creative potential of “queer object relations” within the contemporary North American context.
