Film screening (DPMH social event)
To all PGRs & ECRs
Join us for the film screening of Sich Abhängen | Holding On, followed by the Q&A with the director, Rachel Runesson.
About the film:
80 years after a tragic accident, an aging woman mourns the father she never knew. Using an old dollhouse as a visual metaphor for refurnishing the memories of her life, the film follows Lisbeth Svenson and her son Anders Runesson as they begin to explore the impacts of grief as it reverberates through a family in the south of Sweden.
Sich Abhängen | Holding On attends to the connections between grief, memory, and storytelling, demonstrating the ways in which grief is a deeply social process grounded in the concept of telling as experience.
The film will be screened on the 15th of May, 5pm in the Zochonis Theater B, followed by the Q&A with the director.
See you there!
