Shostakovich Quartet No. 8 in C minor, Op. 110
The energy and passion of university doctoral student Robin Stevens, heard complete for the first time after the success of last season’s partial premiere, alongside the ambivalent self-memorialising masterpiece of Shostakovich, probably the most famous of all 20th-century string quartets.
